New players in Sports Radio Networks
NBC Sports Radio is a new sports radio network in the United States. It’s owned by NBC Sports Group and distributed by Dial Global, and the network debuted on September 4, 2012. Dial Global is the corporate successor to the remains of the original NBC Radio Network that was dissolved in the 1980s.

CBS Sports Radio is a sports radio network that launched on September 4, 2012 with hourly sports news updates. It will begin a full 24-hour a day schedule of sports talk programming on January 2, 2013. CBS Sports Radio is owned and operated by CBS Radio, a division of CBS Corporation, with Cumulus Media Networks handling distribution and marketing of the network. Sports radio stations that are owned by CBS and Cumulus Media will carry part of the full schedule of programming, while eight CBS-owned stations will carry network programming throughout the day.
