KKOV Vancouver (WA) 1550 AM drops talk

The Vancouver (Washington/USA) station previously known as KVAN (1991-2003) and KKAD (2003-2011 was assigned the call sign “KKOV” by the Federal Communications Commission on January 26, 2011. On April 4th 2011, 2011 KKOV changed their format from adult standards to talk, branded as “Talk 1550”. As an affiliate of Salem Radio Network service it broadcast a talk radio format to the greater Portland, Oregon, area.Now it will flip format again back to adult standards. The change will take place on October 29th at midnight, and it’s picking up it previous slogan “Sunny 1550” As previous, the automated format will come from Dial Global.

    I think they should stay a talk radio station. I really enjoyed their format and the hosts they had.
