New Mexican on 1650 AM

XEARZ is a new station in the Mexican capital broadcasting on 1650 kHz mediumwave. The station is owned by Grupo Radiofónico ZER. XEARZ is licensed to transmit at a power of 5,000 watts day and night. According to Wikipedia, the first test transmissions with instrumental music began on April 26. In the documents of the Mexican Telecommunications Commission CFT, the station manager is listed as Arnoldo Rodríguez Zermeño. Both of these sources give call letters as XEARZ.
