Radio Senado, Brazil no more on SW

February 16, 2012 at 11:25 am Leave a comment

Since February 7, the Brazilian Radio Senado has stopped broadcasting their programming on the frequency of 5990 kHz. The reason is that the Brazilian Senate did not renew the contract with Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (ex-Radiobrás), which provided the shortwave transmitter. Radio Senado broadcast on shortwave for 12 years.
