Germany
SWR closing on October 15 their MW-Transmitter at Baden-Baden on 1485 kHz at 21.00 UTC.

Russia

Radio Mayak 20 kW transmitter in Kazan on 1521 kHz has been closed. (Christopher K. Horne via mediumwave.info)

Radio Yunost, one of Russia’s nationwide radio networks, has reportedly closed down its transmissions on the AM band. Radio Yunost has also vacated its longwave frequency of 153 kHz in Moscow, and can now only be heard on the FM band. Information about Radio Yunost was published by Russian DXer Andrew Nogovitsyn.

Swedish Radio will close down AM-broadcast on 1179 kHz from Sölvesborg by the end of October, 2010.

Sunshine Radio har ceased broadcasting via transmitter in Worcester on 1530 kHz. The only active MW frquency for the station is now 855 kHz in Ludlow.
