The newly installed 100 kilowatts mediumwave digital transmitter of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Enugu Zonal Station on 828 kHz has been formally presented to the corporation by the Japanese government. The transmitter was donated to Nigeria by the Japanese government through its International Cooperation Agency, JICA,  for the revitalization of the moribund mediumwave service of the Enugu national station.

(FRCN has website with info on national stations, and Enugu has it’s own – not fully fuctional – page at  http://www.radionigeriaonline.com/ns_enugu.html. The only independent national station websites at the moment seems to be ones for Ibadan and Kano/ finndxer)
