The former Irish pirate transmitter Vision 549 in Monaghan, the Irish Republic,
( ( has sprung to life again, this time with a legal “RSL” type license, not same operator as before. Links: and
Good test signal on 549 kHz(30 kW) detected on air just after 2100 UTC Wednesday 27th August.
QRM from DLF, unid, plus 2 different ? Russians had disappeared by then. First regular broadcast starts Friday 5th of September 00.00 hours BST. Christian programming with same music style from 02.00-08.00 hours BST. Does anybody remember, when it came off the air? I remember it had a great sunrise signal in this area, and that it was good on groundwave when visiting Dublin, May, 2001.
