The recovery of Radio Surco on 930 kHz

The signals of a Cuban of medium wave transmitter were put back in the air by local telecommunications specialists, thus benefitting more than 56 thousand inhabitants of the North zone of the province of Ciego de Ávila. Engineer Ramón Mayea Burgos with his four colleagues, repaired the 25 kilowatt transmitter of Radio Surco on 930 kHz. It was necessary to modify the power modules, to improve the technical state, to replace the circuits and to mount new aggregates and components. The transmitter was installed in the city of Morón and it serves as a provincial transmitter, whose signal is can be listened by more than 95 percent of the province.
