920 CJCH Halifax NS – CRTC has approved the move of CJCH Halifax, that city’s last remaining AM signal,from 920 AM to 101.3 on the FM dial
920 WOKY Milwaukee WI – now OLDies, dropping ALL satellite content
950 WNTD Chicago IL – Relevant Radio has begun broadcast operations on WNTD 950 AM – Chicago. Effective immediately 950 AM will broadcast Relevant Radio programming 5 am – 7 pm Monday through Friday. The process is in motion to finalize a lease with an option to purchase 950 AM. We were informed only just recently that the lease agreement with Relevant Radio for WAIT 820 AM, set to expire at the end of November 2007, will not be renewed. Therefore, we will no longer be broadcasting Relevant Radio on 820 AM as of November 25, 2007.

1280 WEIM Fitchburg,MA – is making a format shift. While “AM 1280 the Blend” will retain its current full-service hot AC/news-talk format during the day, it will go Spanish overnight. From 7 PM until 5 AM daily, WEIM will be known as “Mega 1280,” playing a mix of Spanish tropical hits as well as local news and information in Spanish

1380 CKLC Kingston ON – There’s a new FM signal in Kingston: CTVglobemedia’s new CKLC-FM (98.9) is on the air as “98.9 The Drive,” programming a “classic alternative” (or “essential alternative,” as they put it) format drawing heavily on modern rock from the mid-seventies through the nineties. CKLC AM 1380 will simulcast for a few months, then go silent, leaving Kingston as an FM-only market.
1380 KSLG Saint Louis MO – Simmons Sports Marketing said that, sports talk station 1380 KSLG-AM is switching its affiliation from ESPN Radio to Fox Sports under the new name TEAM 1380. It wasn’t long ago 1190 AM switched from a sports talk format over to political talk and now its going back to sports with ESPN. The station will be local from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with national syndicated programs taking up the remainder of the schedule.
1450 CHUC Cobourg ON – signed off for good at 5 PM on 7th of November. Is now 107.9 FM The Breeze

1510 WWZN Boston, MA -, drifted further from its sports format with the addition of several new leased-time talk shows, including “Duke and the Doctor” at 9 AM and Roy Masters in the evening. It appears Peter Davidson’s Blackstrap Broadcasting will take WWZN to full-time leased-time operation, leaving Sporting News Radio to air only in unsold timeslots.
1520 WDMN Rossford (Toledo market) OH – flips to jazz, ex-gospel
1580 WVKO Columbus OH – flips to talk, ex-Spanish
1620 WNRP Gulf Breeze FL – One of Pensacola’s last locally owned AM radio stations is changing its format to local news and local talent. “Classic Country”,”Your Home for Classic Country”,”Cat Country”,”16-20 Stereo”, (relaying WCYT-98.7) is now NewsRadio1620, said station owner Dave Hoxeng. “We got feedback from the radio listeners that Pensacola wanted a news/talk radio station that reflected our local community,” he said. “We are making NewsRadio1620 just that kind of station.” The station features a Pensacola-based approach to radio with a “live and local” weekday lineup that includes “Bubba Up!” an early morning show with T. Bubba and Tarsha Bechtol; along with Wendi Summers; Grammy winner Larry Butler; Rick Outzen; Marty Stanovich and a late evening News and Sports show. NewsRadio1620 features Fox Radio News twice each hour around the clock.
1650 KBJD Denver CO – changed format on October 29th from Talk (“KNUS2”) to Spanish religion

1700 KVNS Brownsville TX – Looks like has changed format from Spanish to English 60’s and 70’s Oldies now. I just tuned across the channel and noted oldies, absent is the usually Spanish. Not sure when to change took place. The slogan I heard was “It’s classic Rock n Roll for the work day,Oldies Radio 1700 KVNS”.
