VOA Delano to close down

International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), has made a decision to close down its shortwave site in Delano, California. Delano has been transmitting on SW since 1944, and will run its last transmissions in October (probably on Sunday the 28th of October). After this VoA will have only one SW site in USA: Greenville in North Carolina.

VoA Delano has the following schedule:
0030-0200 9560 kHz VOA (Spanish)
0030-0200 11815 kHz VOA (Spanish)
0130-0200 13740 kHz VOA Special English (Tue-Sat)
0200-0230 5890 kHz Relay of Radio Thailand in English
0230-0330 5890 kHz Relay of Radio Thailand in Thai
2000-2400 13820 kHz Relay of Radio Martí in Spanish
2100-2130 21555 kHz VOA (Creole)
