A new station dedicated to Hull and the East Riding – KCFM 99.8 – will make its debut transmission at 6am on August 1, with a host of legends from the world of broadcasting set to take to the airwaves. The station has a playlist of more than 8,000 songs from the 60s to the present day and hopes to cater for a range of tastes.
It has been conducting test transmissions from its base at Planet House in Hedon Road, Hull, and can be heard on the frequency before the official launch.
