A new radio station, Radio Alla, is due to launch later this month in Moscow on 98.8 FM. But this station has nothing to do with religion. The Alla in question is pop star Alla Pugachyova, described by as Russia’s answer to Madonna. According to the station will play a mix of hits from the 1970s onwards, as well as one or two Pugachyova songs per hour. It’s being positioned as a girly alternative to stations such as AvtoRadio and Militseiskaya Volna.
