The “all news” broadcaster of Sistema Globo de Radio, the CBN, has launched a transmitter on the AM Band in Salvador, Bahia. CBN is already present in five other northeastern capitals. The station is on the air on 1050 AM. It is operating from Camaçari, with about 10 kw of power (according to data from Anatel). Camaçari is located approximately 35 km of the Bahian capital (straight-line distance). The signal of the transmitter is reported to be good also in Salvador.
