Radio Algeria International on FM

A new radio station launched on March 19th in Algeria, “Radio Algeria International” (Radio Algerie Internationale). Currently broadcasting to the capital city Algiers from three FM transmitters, this is an international news station in Arabic, French, English, and Spanish.
Frequencies used:
95.6 – Bains Romains, 100W
101.5 – Chrea, 10kW (~70kW ERP)
104.2 – Bordj El Bahri, 2kW (~7kW ERP)

It may not be such a regular visitor to northern Europe during sporadic-e openings, due to the higher frequencies in use, but it’s worth keeping an eye out for this summer. A list of FM and AM radio frequencies used in Algeria can be found on the following site: http://www.elahcene.co.uk/algeria/
