New Somalian station on 6950 kHz

The Somali government’s new station – known as ” Radio Bay, Voice of the Somali Republic” (Codka Jamhuuriyada Soomaaliya) – was opened at a ceremony in Baidoa on 24 December. It is said to broadcast locally on 95.2 FM and for a wider audience on shortwave.

The station has now been logged since 15th of March in Finland (by Jari Savolainen) and in Sweden (by Björn Fransson) on 6950 kHz at 1800-1859* UTC.
