The launch of the first English-language radio station, broadcast both in the occupied Palestinian territories and in Israel, was announced in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

This initiative, which was announced by the South African businessman, Mr Ayzi Kersh, is intended to promote peace in the Middle East. The new radio station, RAM FM 93.6, which will broadcast 24 hours a day in English to listeners throughout the Palestinian territories and Israel, is based on the South African radio station, Radio 702, which represented a successful platform for public opinion in South Africa during the intensely sensitive period that preceeded the democratic elections of 1994.

RAM FM 93.6 is licensed with the Palestinian Authority and broadcasts through new high-tech studios in both Ramallah and Jerusalem. The director of the radio station, Maysoon Genget, leads a specialized and talented team whose members have received numerous prizes from South Africa, Australia and Europe. There is a Palestinian team that works in the studios in Ramallah and some Israeli employees in the Jerusalem studios.

The station has website at http://www.ramfm.net/

hi, i am a south african and have been in the electronic media for 20 years. i spent the last 4 years in a telemetry business but feel it is time i went back to Radio. there are no oportunitis here in south africa and i would dearly love to move to another country. i was going over the various options and came across 93.6 which has just gotten of the ground. this looks like the chance i have been looking for.

As the medium is not limited to any particular geographical or demographic region, advertising on internet radio would give the business an international audience base.
This is true simulation of the traditional transmission of radio
and television programs, as it is only a station
house music on your PC. Having had my nearby store shut down recently I looked
around for another place where I could get my gear from but unfortunately could not find any
good outlets even remotely close to my home so started looking online.
