WEUP/WEUW/WHIY call changes

There has been a re-arrangement of call letters among the Broadcast One’s AM stations in Alabama. WEUV 1700 became WEUP, WHIY 1190 became WEUV, and WEUP 1600 (the original WEUP) took the WHIY call letters. It has been rumored that the company plans to sell off the 1600 frequency or take it dark, and also that the directional array for 1600 would be dismantled. (Wikipedia)
