Radio Zamaneh on 6245 kHz

Radio Zamaneh is a new clandestine station that targets Iran and transmits 1700-2100 UTC on 6245 kHz in Farsi. Test transmissions started from August 4, 2006 and official launch was in early September. The station headquarters is in Netherlands, but transmitter site is believed to be somewhere in ex-USSR area. The station has website at http://www.radiozamaneh.com/.

    The English name of Iran’s official language is “Persian”.
