Yolngu Radio is the radio service of ARDS – Aboriginal Resources and Development Services Inc in Australia. The exact monitored shortwave fqy is 5049.93. In a reply received from Dale Chesson, Radio Service Manager, Nhulunbuy Language & Media Centre, he says they’re using 400 watts full AM into a wire dipole fed by a balun, a
quarter wave above ground. Also says they’ll be upgrading to a 1 kW LPB
Omni tx. So it should be a little easier to hear when they get the new tx
on line. The website of the station is on www.ards.com.au/radio.htm.
