Some information on the station picked from the site: “The “Falkland Islands Radio Service” (FIRS) is the community radio station for the people of the Falkland Islands. The station is managed by Corina Bishop on behalf of the Media Trust. The station produces a range of programming covering; light entertainment, such as music and quizzes; documentaries; topical interviews; and news and current affairs. The station broadcasts eleven hours a day Monday to Friday and five hours in the evenings at weekends.
There are five full time staff members and a number of freelance presenters, who present music shows ranging from Classical through to Rock and everything in between. The output is diverse and interesting with the service aiming to provide something for everyone.”
At nights after 02:00 UTC the station relays BFBS 96.5 FM and BBC World Service provided by Radio Nova division of KTV Ltd.
