24-Hour Business News FM Radio Launched in Moscow

“Moscow, 24 February: A new FM radio station “Business FM” starts broadcasting on 1 March 2007. “This is a new format of a talk radio – a round-the-clock broadcasting which will fully inform the targeted audience on the most important economic and business news,” the radio’s PR director Yelena Bystrova told Interfax on Saturday 24 February.
She said that the radio will broadcast reports about global tendencies in economic development, market news, inflation, currency rates, news about major companies and well-known entrepreneurs.
“The priorities of “Business FM” will also include the most important political subjects and news related to lives of people with incomes above the average,” Bystrova said.
She said that “Business FM” will have a unique format – a non- stop information flow.”The information programming will be build up according to the principle – all main news in detail within 30 minutes. In the following half an hour the development of the same news will be given,” Bystrova said.She said that the targeted audience of “Business FM” is business and expert community, people with incomes above the average who want to keep abreast of the news.

At first the new radio station will broadcast in Moscow on the 87.5 FM frequency but plans to expand to the regions, she added.”
